The package holds one figure of an American tank commander in 1:35 scale, cast in modeling resin. The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is a typical aftermarket accessory: by itself it is not a model of a vehicle, but it is able to give a finished armored vehicle scale and a story. The set belongs to a wider range of American tank crewmen that Bravo 6 carries in a uniform conception, so it can be combined with further figures of the same range into one scene without trouble.
The figure represents a tank commander of the close of the Second World War in the European theater. From a modeling point of view what carries it is above all the tank crewman's helmet with earphones, the leather jacket and the natural carriage of the body deriving from a pose in the turret hatch. The subtitle of the set refers to the subject of the composition and not to a particular unit or event; from the point of view of building, what matters is that the figure is built so that it looks natural even when viewed from above, which is key with a commander in an open hatch.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, or the primer will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw or a cutting disc, level the surface and do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. Glue the individual parts with cyanoacrylate super glue and fill the seams at the shoulders with putty. Apply a thin primer before painting, ideally sprayed. With the leather jacket a darker base, a glaze and fine picking out of the edges work; paint the face by layering glazes and only at the end pick the eyes and the lips out. If you place the figure in the hatch, try the height of the seating out dry before gluing the torso together, so that it matches the proportion to the turret.
