A resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but replacement exhaust nozzles meant to improve a plastic kit of the F-15C Eagle fighter. The casting captures the fine structure of the inner and outer petals of the nozzles, which injection-molded parts usually do not reach. The set is meant for experienced modelers.
The F-15C Eagle is the single-seat version of the American twin-engine supersonic air superiority fighter from McDonnell Douglas. The machine is powered by two turbojets with afterburner, whose nozzles change diameter with the thrust setting. It is precisely the shape and definition of the nozzle petals that are characteristic on an accurate model.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand with your airways protected. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Lay down a primer before painting, spray the metallic shades of the nozzles with an airbrush and bring out the heat discoloration with fine washes and tinting coats.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled, without the target kit, glue or paints.
