A set of colored 3D interior decals from Quinta Studio for detailing the cockpit of the multirole fighter F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:72 scale. The set is developed for a particular plastic F-15E kit in that scale. It is not a kit and not a model: it replaces the bare plastic interior parts with a richly worked, three-dimensionally raised and pre-painted surface. The dimensions and shapes are based on the GWH kit.
A 3D decal is a relief color decal: the instrument panels of the front and rear cockpits, the side panels, the seats and other features are three-dimensionally raised and painted in production. They are applied the wet way like a decal, but with their thickness they behave more like pre-colored photo-etch. The dials have clear glossy glazing, so they look realistic even in a small scale.
