1:72 F-15I EXHAUST NOZZLES kabuki masks is a specialized New Ware masking set aimed at the engine exhaust nozzles of an F-15I model in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor a resin replacement for the nozzles.

A narrowly aimed accessory: a set of pre-cut masks of kabuki tape meant for masking the engine exhaust nozzles on an F-15I model in 1:72 scale. Unlike the usual New Ware sets, which are graded into BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT, this is a separate specialized set, which is why there is no level in its name. The set holds no replacement parts, only masks; the nozzles stay the ones from the original kit.
On a real aircraft the nozzles of a jet engine are usually a completely different color from the rest of the airframe. The segments are of heat-resistant alloys, heat-stained into shades from light gray through golden to dark smoky, and the transition between nozzle and fuselage is sharp. Painting that transition by hand in 1:72 scale means working with millimeter strips, and that is exactly the work this set removes. With the masks the metal shades can be sprayed separately from the surrounding finish, without the paint spreading into its surroundings.
Paint the nozzles and let them cure thoroughly before you stick anything onto them; metal paints and metallics tend to pull away. Always mix metallic paint thoroughly, as the pigment settles, and apply it at the end of the build, because it is hard to spray over. Seat the mask dry, run a toothpick around the perimeter and spray at right angles to the edge, not at an angle under it. Use several shades and let them blend gently; a uniform silver looks unnatural on a model. A light darkening with a soot pigment toward the exit comes in handy at the end.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit and not replacement parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
