The set contains a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:72 scale for a model of the General Dynamics F-16A Fighting Falcon. It is not an aircraft kit, but a stand-alone accessory. The characteristic frameless teardrop canopy comes off far better in a clear, thin version than as the part from the box, where the wall thickness usually shows. The way the parts are divided usually makes it possible to display the canopy open.
The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most widespread jet fighters in the world. The F-16A version is the single-seat variant of the first generation, with quadruplex fly-by-wire controls and outstanding agility. Its typical feature is the large teardrop canopy with excellent all-round vision, which on a model invites the cleanest possible execution.
Cut the canopy out with a small margin, sand the edge precisely until it seats, and bond it with canopy glue for clear parts or with a minimum of super glue. Mask any frame and rim before spraying; handle the thin part carefully so that it keeps its shape.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit. Glue, paints and masks are not included in the package.
