A resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but faithfully rendered landing gear bays meant to improve a plastic kit of the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter. The casting replaces the simplified plastic bays with structure carrying piping, ribs and detail that show clearly with the landing gear down. The set is meant for experienced modelers.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter with retractable nosewheel landing gear. The gear bays are a prominent detail on the underside of the fuselage; rendering them faithfully raises the realism of a model both seen from below and with the gear extended.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with your airways protected. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the bays in the base shade, bring the recesses out with a wash and the edges with a dry brush; adding fine wiring deepens the effect.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled, without the target kit, glue or paints.
