The 1:35 Type 94 Light Armored Car TK wheel masking set is a sheet of pre-cut templates for separating the rubber tires from the disks of the road wheels. The set is cut for the kit from the manufacturer Fine Molds.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not a kit, but an accessory for painting. The templates set the boundary between the rubber and the disk of a road wheel, so you do not have to draw it around laboriously with a brush. The set is cut for the model of the Japanese small tracked vehicle Type 94 TK from the manufacturer Fine Molds.
The Type 94 TK was a Japanese small tracked vehicle from the 1930s, used above all for carrying supplies and as a tractor. Given its dimensions it has small road wheels, and drawing around them by hand belongs in 1:35 scale among the thankless jobs.
Even with a well-applied mask it happens that a little paint gets under the margin. Panic is out of place, as the repair is simpler than repainting the whole wheel. The first route is to wait until the paint cures completely, to level the ridge with very fine abrasive paper or a polisher and to run the boundary over with a fine brush in the shade of the rubber. The second is mechanical, that is to scrape the excess off with the tip of a toothpick or a wooden skewer while the paint is still fresh and soft. Wood meanwhile does not scratch plastic as easily as a metal tool. With truly tiny seepage it often pays to do nothing, because once a wash and dust pigments are applied to the running gear, a slight imprecision is lost.
The package holds only the masking templates. The kit, paints and thinners are not included in it. Before purchase verify that you are building exactly the kit mentioned.
