This pre-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for the plastic model of the German Fieseler Fi 156 Storch liaison and observation aircraft. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of accurately shaped masks made of thin yellow masking (kabuki) tape. The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp transitions of color on the extensive canopy glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slowly cutting tape by hand.
The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch is a German single-engine liaison, observation and ambulance aircraft of the Second World War. It became famous for its exceptional takeoff and landing qualities, thanks to which it could take off and land on a very short strip. Characteristic is the deeply glazed cabin, which gave the crew an excellent view. It is precisely the extensive glazing that makes masking the cabin the most demanding part of the painting.
Degrease the extensive canopy glazing carefully. Lift the masks off the backing and apply them systematically to the individual windows, working panel by panel and pressing them into the edges. Fine-tune the transitions and corners with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats so that it does not run under the edge. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
