A photo-etched brass set of accessories for refining a plastic model of the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch liaison and observation aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that replaces coarser plastic parts with fine photo-etched ones, particularly in the glazed cockpit and the interior. The photo-etched sheet is prepared for the Academy kit.
The Fi 156 Storch was a German light multi-purpose aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s, famous for its exceptionally short take-off and landing. It was used for observation, liaison, casualty evacuation and carrying passengers. The glazed cockpit with its good visibility is among its characteristic features.
Separate the small photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and form the bends with a bending tool. Glue the interior and frame features with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and spray a primer.
The set does not include the model itself, glue or paints. It is intended as an accessory to a suitable plastic kit.
