A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the exhausts with more faithfully shaped resin parts with marked outlets. This is not an aircraft model but a stand-alone accessory that raises the fidelity of a finished build.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9, nicknamed Dora, was a German single-seat fighter from the end of the Second World War. Unlike the early versions it was powered by a liquid-cooled inverted V12 Junkers Jumo engine with the characteristically elongated front of the fuselage.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. The exhausts come alive once they are shaded in rusty and metallic tones. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
