The WR360 C12 was a German diesel shunting locomotive developed for army use as a replacement for steam shunters. The designation reflects an output of around 360 horsepower, a running gear layout with three driven axles and an axle load of twelve tons. The machine served during the Second World War with the army and with other branches for shunting wagons at stations and on sidings; compared with the later C14 version it had a simpler transmission and a lower top speed.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the frame, then complete the cab and the hood. Glue the parts with thin plastic cement. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush; you will support the industrial look of the locomotive by bringing out the rivets and the joints with a wash, by hinting at oil and rust and by weathering the ballast bed of the base with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
