The AH-1Q/S Cobra in 1:32 scale is a plastic kit of the anti-tank version of the attack helicopter from the Czech maker Special Hobby.

A large kit of the anti-tank version of the famous Cobra, released by the Czech maker Special Hobby in the Tank Hunter edition. 1:32 scale is fairly rare for helicopters and the finished model has a size to match: the slender fuselage, the tandem crew positions and the external stores under the short wings all show well on it.
The Cobra was the first production helicopter designed from the outset as a combat machine, with a crew of two sitting one behind the other in a narrow fuselage. The version designated Q came about by converting older machines for guided anti-tank missiles and their guidance system; the follow-on S version brought a more powerful engine and further changes that made the Cobra above all a tool for fighting armored hardware. Machines of this generation served with the United States Army and with other users long after the end of the war in Vietnam.
The inside of the cockpit is visible through the extensive glazing on the Cobra, so give it time before you close the fuselage up. Mask the glazing with precisely cut tape or with a ready-made set of masks. Leave the rotor blades until the end and fit them only onto a painted fuselage. The dark olive finish of the hardware of that time comes alive when you lighten it in the middle of the large areas and unify the transitions with a thin coat of thinned paint.
The package contains a kit to be assembled and painted. Glue and paints are not enclosed, unless stated otherwise.
