A resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It contains three-dimensionally shaped landing gear bays for the Hawker Hurricane fighter in the Mk. I and Mk. II versions. It replaces the flat or simplified compartments from a plastic kit with a faithful rendering of the structure and detail of the bays. The accessory is meant for more experienced modelers and is not an aircraft model in itself.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter and, together with the Spitfire, formed the backbone of British fighter defense in the Battle of Britain. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. The Mk. II version brought a more powerful engine and reworked armament. The landing gear bays are among the prominent visual details on a model.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks with a saw. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with airway protection. The bays are usually glued into the wing before the halves are closed, so check the fit against the particular kit by dry-fitting.
