Artwox Model wooden deck HMS Dreadnought 1915 in 1:700 scale is a veneer cut-out with a printed plank pattern and a self-adhesive back, meant to be laid on the deck of the Trumpeter 06705 ship kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an aftermarket accessory for a model, not a kit. A thin veneer sheet with pre-printed plank laying goes onto the plastic deck and takes over from it as the visible surface. The set is cut to shape for one particular kit in 1:700 scale. It is fitted to the Trumpeter 06705 kit, which is not in the package.
The most delicate stage of the whole job is the laying itself. The rule is simple: work from the middle of the segment out to the edges and glue area by area, not all at once. Uncover the backing film over a few millimeters at a time, lay the piece on, check its position against the outline of the deck and only then go on. Air left under the sheet shows up later as dull blisters that can no longer be put right. If a bubble does appear, pierce it with the tip of a fresh blade and press the area down over a soft pad.
HMS Dreadnought was a British battleship completed in 1906 whose uniform main armament and steam turbines gave their name to a whole generation of battleships. In the First World War she served with the Home Fleet, and in March 1915 she rammed and sank the German submarine U-29. Her appearance in 1915 matches that wartime service.
Once the deck is down, wipe it gently with a damp sponge and let it dry; the wood then takes varnish better. A light matte varnish will protect the surface and even it out, as glossy varnished veneer looks unnatural in a small scale.
An accessory for a model. The ship kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
