A self-adhesive deck sheet meant to refine the deck of a model of the Japanese battleship Yamato in 1:350 scale. It is a pre-printed self-adhesive surface that imitates the texture of a planked deck and gives a model a realistic look without the lengthy painting of individual planks. It is not a kit of the ship but an accessory; the manufacturer is Tamiya.
First free the deck of the model from dust and grease. Lay the sheet on carefully, align it and press it down gradually so that no bubbles form. The edges and the cutouts for the superstructures can be trimmed with a sharp knife. Once applied, the surface can be lightly weathered to increase its depth.
The accessory is supplied on its own; paints, glue and a kit are not included in the package.
