Quickboost replacement exhausts for a model of the British Hawker Typhoon fighter-bomber in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Typhoon is a British single-seat aircraft of the Second World War with a hefty fuselage and heavy armament. It proved itself above all as a fighter-bomber against ground targets. The exhaust pipes project along the sides of the forward fuselage, that is in a place the viewer has directly in line of sight on a finished model.
Replacement exhausts for a Typhoon model in 1:72 scale. They are fitted in place of the parts from the kit, and the point of the swap is a finer shape in a place where the plastic part is often thickened and coarse. The manufacturer's instructions give the scope of the package and the placement of the parts.
Cut surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the rest down so that the mating face is flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Polystyrene cement does not hold here; use super glue applied drop by drop. The exhausts are among the parts worth painting separately and fitting last: a dark metal shade makes the base, over which rusty and sooty traces are added with a dry brush or with pigments. The manufacturer's instructions give the exact procedure for preparing the parts.
For modelers who are bothered in a small scale by the blunt shapes of the exhausts from older molds, and for those who want to lift the impression of the nose of a model with one quick intervention. The work takes an afternoon and even a less experienced builder can manage it. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
