This detail set holds resin wheels with a faithful tire tread for the Polikarpov I-153 in 1:72 scale and, with them, masking film that makes clean painting of the tires and hubs easier. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that will replace the wheels from the plastic kit.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika is a Soviet single-seat fighter biplane from the end of the 1930s, characteristic for its cranked upper wing and, for its day, unusual retractable landing gear. It was committed to the early air conflicts of the turn of the 1930s and 1940s.
Wash the wheels free of mold release residue and cut off the casting blocks. The resin wheels can be sanded down lightly where they meet the ground, for a loaded look. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Stick the masking film on the wheels and paint the tire and the hub separately for a clean border.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for the kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
