This plastic kit from the French manufacturer Heller presents the Swedish fighter Saab JA-37 Jaktviggen, that is the interceptor version of the Viggen family. The model in 1:72 scale captures the typical aerodynamics with a forward canard wing and a main delta wing; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Saab 37 Viggen was a Swedish supersonic combat aircraft with a striking canard and delta wing layout, designed for operating from short road strips as well. The JA-37 Jaktviggen version was meant for fighter and interception duties and formed the backbone of Swedish air defense. It excelled in short takeoff, good agility and modern avionics for its day.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and clean the joints up carefully; with older toolings it pays to try the parts dry. Paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. The Swedish four-color splinter camouflage scheme suits an airbrush, masking and a base coat; apply a gloss coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
