A photo-etched set for a model of the German Jagdpanther tank destroyer in 1:72 scale. An accessory to a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jagdpanther is a German tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War. It arose on the chassis of the Panther tank; the turret was replaced by a fixed casemate superstructure with armor sloped at a sharp angle, and the main weapon became an 88 mm gun. The combination of good mobility, a low silhouette and heavy armament made it one of the most respected machines in its category, although relatively few were built.
Photo-etched parts for a Jagdpanther model in 1:72 scale. The list of parts, their placement and the kit the set is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions. In a small scale photo-etched metal makes particularly good sense: it replaces plastic parts that would work out absurdly thick in scale and gives the model back its thin edges.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface so that they do not bend. Run the bends along the scored lines, best in a bending tool or between the jaws of flat tweezers. It is glued with cyanoacrylate applied in a small amount, for example with the tip of a toothpick. Before painting, wash and degrease the surfaces and use a base paint suitable for metal, otherwise the finish will not hold on the smooth surface.
The kit of the vehicle, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
