An injection-molded plastic kit of the launching station of the Patriot PAC-3 air defense missile system as operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, in 1:72 scale from Aoshima. The set contains the launching trailer with the missile canisters and a tractor unit. The model can be built in the travel position or in the firing position.
Patriot PAC-3 is a modern air and missile defense system intended to destroy aircraft and ballistic missiles. The launching station consists of a trailer with the missile canisters, which is moved by a heavy truck tractor and raised to an angle in the firing position. The system is in service with a number of armed forces, including the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
Assemble the chassis and the frame of the trailer first, then add the missile canisters. Spraying the model with an airbrush over a base filler is recommended, finished off with a fine wash and pigments. Decide in advance whether you will build the model in the travel position or in the firing position.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
