This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not a stand-alone aircraft model. It replaces the original glazed cockpit of a plastic Junkers Ju 88A-4 kit with a one-piece resin casting with crisp detail of the floor, the seats, the side walls and the instruments. It is intended for experienced modelers who want to take the roomy cockpit beyond the level of the molding from the box.
The Junkers Ju 88 was a German twin-engine combat aircraft of the Second World War and exceptionally versatile: it served as a dive bomber and a level bomber and in further roles. The A-4 version was among the most widespread bomber standards, with a glazed cockpit for a multi-man crew, and it was used on most fronts.
This is a resin casting for the advanced. First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean up the cut surfaces, always with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); try the surfaces dry before fixing them. It is worth painting and picking out the cockpit before the fuselage is closed.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The aircraft kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
