This resin set from the Czech maker Brengun is intended for converting a model of the Lockheed Martin KC-130J transport and tanker aircraft in 1:72 scale into the Harvest Hawk configuration. These are accessory castings that are added to a kit you have already bought: the model itself, glue and paints are not part of the package.
Harvest Hawk is an American modification of the tanker Hercules that turns the machine into a multi-role aircraft able to carry a sensor and weapons suite without losing its original tanker role. The suite is arranged as an add-on, so it shows on the aircraft through a few easily recognized external features, above all an electro-optical sensor in the forward section and a carrying installation under the wing. On a model it is exactly these features that set a Harvest Hawk apart from an ordinary KC-130J; without them the machine stays an ordinary tanker.
First wash the castings in warm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the contact faces wet on abrasive paper laid on glass, so that a part seats on the fuselage or the pylon with no gap. Sand with respiratory protection, as resin dust is very fine. It is bonded with super glue; on larger parts it pays to reinforce the joint with a wire pin, because resin is heavier than plastic and the joint can give way on its own. Apply a primer before painting.
