The masking templates 1:72 Ki-115 Tsurugi are for spraying the glazing of the simple Japanese attack aircraft of the end of the war in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Nakajima Ki-115 Tsurugi was created in the last months of the war as a deliberately primitive machine: steel and wooden components instead of aluminum, jettisonable landing gear, a minimum of equipment. The aim was for it to be producible quickly and in enormous numbers even outside aircraft factories. The cockpit matches that: a simple windscreen and a short sliding canopy without unnecessary shapes.
It is on simple machines in particular that the painting of the cockpit shows most, because the model has nowhere to draw attention away. The frames are angular and straight, so any puckering or uneven width catches the eye at once. The templates follow the real outline of the canopy of the Tsurugi, thanks to which the frames come out sharp and exactly in place. Measuring by eye falls away, as does careful trimming with a knife directly on the clear part, where a nick is easily made.
Suitable for modelers interested in late Japanese aircraft production who want a clean result even on an undemanding cockpit. The Ki-115 kit is not included in the package, as the set serves to paint it.
