Eduard 1:72 Ki-48 Lily masks is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for masking the cockpit glazing and the wheels of a model of the Japanese bomber. It is not a model but an accessory that makes painting easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker Eduard contains precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks in fine Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Kawasaki Ki-48 light bomber in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor a finished model, but an accessory that makes masking easier and more accurate while the paints are sprayed.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the subdivided cockpit glazing and onto the wheel discs, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts well to rounded shapes, holds tightly and leaves no adhesive when lifted off. The richly glazed cockpit thus comes out with crisp straight frames without cutting tape by hand.
The Kawasaki Ki-48 (Allied code name Lily) was a Japanese twin-engined light bomber of the Japanese Army Air Force. It was deployed from the fighting in China through the whole Pacific conflict; it stood out for respectable speed and handling, but carried only a limited bomb load.
The set contains die-cut masking parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
