Eduard Ki-61-Id exhaust stacks 1:72 is a resin set of exhaust stacks for a model of the Japanese Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory from Eduard in 1:72 scale. The set contains separate exhaust stacks for the Ki-61-Id variant of the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien fighter. The individual exhausts with drilled outlets replace the simplified plastic parts and give the engine section a realistic look.
The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (Allied designation Tony) was a Japanese fighter of the Second World War, unusual for its liquid-cooled inverted V12 Ha-40 engine. The Ki-61-Id version was among the later production machines with revised armament and equipment. The aircraft excelled in speed and in its performance at altitude.
Wash the resin exhausts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For a realistic look use metallic shades and dark washes, and darken the outlets with pigments imitating burnt metal.
This is a resin add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
