A set of resin underwing pylons for the Czechoslovak Aero L-29 Delfin jet trainer in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but a set of precisely cast detail parts that add faithful pylons to the wing for carrying weapons or drop tanks.
The L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft of domestic design built in Czechoslovakia and a widespread trainer of the armies of the Eastern Bloc; it was powered by the Motorlet M-701 engine. In the armed and weapons-training versions it carried pylons under the wings for bombs, rocket pods or drop tanks. The resin castings have a faithful shape and fine surface detail, which make it possible to add underwing stores to the model more convincingly than with coarser plastic.
Resin parts need more careful preparation: wash them in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Mark the position of the pylons on the wing exactly before gluing so that they are symmetrical, then paint them to match the overall scheme.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
