The set belongs among metal accessories for aircraft models in 1:72 scale and deals with a single but highly visible assembly: the exhaust nozzle of the powerplant. It is therefore not a model of the aircraft but something bought to go with a plastic kit. Eduard lists this item in its line of full photo-etched sets, and the part the set concerns is given directly in the name, which is not the rule with small accessories.
The rear of the fuselage tends to be a compromise on injection-molded models. A mold cannot cast a thin wall with sharp edges, so the nozzle looks thick and plasticky. A photo-etched part is bent into a ring with a realistic material thickness, and the difference shows at once, because with this type it is the nozzle that everyone looks at. On the vertical landing variant of the machine the tail is distinctive in shape as well and it is worth spending time on.
It suits a modeler who is building the F-35B in small scale and does not want the tail to spoil otherwise careful work. The set is small and targeted in extent, so it can be combined without worry with other accessories for the cockpit or the landing gear.
