Marking masks 1:72 M6A1 Seiran from the Czech manufacturer Dead Design Models are pre-cut stencils with which you spray the national insignia and the markings in paint instead of using decals.

A set of pre-cut self-adhesive stencils in 1:72 scale intended for spraying the national insignia and the markings of the M6A1 Seiran aircraft. Unlike decals, no carrier film and no glossy edge arise; the marking is directly part of the paintwork and takes ordinary weathering as well as matte varnish. The masks are cut from kabuki-type masking tape and instructions with the placement are included in the package. The set covers the related M6A1-K Nanzan trainer version as well.
The Aichi M6A1 Seiran was a Japanese two-seat floatplane attack aircraft designed so that it could be carried in the hangar of a large submarine. The wings folded along the fuselage, the tail surfaces folded as well and the floats could be taken off. A liquid-cooled V12 engine provided the power and takeoff was from a catapult. The M6A1-K Nanzan version was a land-based trainer variant with classic landing gear in place of the floats.
The surface has to be smooth and perfectly dry, or the paint will run under. Lay the mask on, press it down thoroughly and run a toothpick over the edges. First spray a very thin covering coat, which will seal the edge, and only then the full color in two or three light coats. A heavy coat will form a visible step. With two-color markings go coat by coat and let each color dry properly. Take the mask off at an acute angle right after drying. Any remains of adhesive can be wiped off with a cotton bud moistened in spirit, but carefully and away from any area of fresh varnish.
It is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
