New Ware 1:72 RB-66B Destroyer EXPERT mask is the widest level of the pre-cut masking set for the model of the RB-66B reconnaissance aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pre-cut self-adhesive mask for the model of the RB-66B Destroyer reconnaissance aircraft in 1:72 scale, in the highest level of the range. Compared with the basic version it offers a wider scope, so a single package covers more of the masked areas of the model than the glazing alone.
The RB-66B was the reconnaissance version of the twin-engined B-66 Destroyer bomber, which was derived from the carrier-based A-3. It was an aircraft with a high-mounted swept wing and a pair of turbojets in pods under the wing. The reconnaissance versions carried photographic equipment in the weapons bay and appeared in service in natural metal as well as all-black finishes.
The most common mistake is too wet a coat. The paint then stands on the edge of the mask and creeps under the paper by capillary action, where it leaves a bleeding edge. Spray from the edge inward and at a lower pressure, so that the stream of paint does not blow under the edge. On a natural metal finish it also helps to spray the whole surface first and to lay the masks on only once it has cured, otherwise the mask may leave an imprint. After removing the mask, run a finger along the edge; touch reveals unevenness sooner than the eye.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
