A photo-etched detail set for a model of the F-15J Eagle fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15J Eagle is the Japanese version of the American heavy F-15 fighter, built under license for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. It differs from the American original mainly in the cockpit equipment and the electronics; outwardly it is the same twin-engined aircraft with a high-set wing and a pair of vertical tails that a modeler knows from the rest of the Eagle family.
Photo-etched parts in thin metal sheet for a 1:72 model of the F-15J. Follow the enclosed manufacturer's instructions. They describe the assembly order and also which shapes on the kit have to be thinned or removed before the metal is glued on.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by breaking them out, or the thin sheet will twist. In 1:72 the parts really are tiny, so it pays to work over a tray with a raised rim. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue in a small amount. Wash and degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a primer.
The set suits a modeler with experience of fine work who wants to take an F-15J model beyond the contents of the kit. Working with metal at this scale calls for calm, good light and fine tweezers. Check in the instructions which 1:72 kit the set is developed for. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
