Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a model of an aircraft, but an add-on set for detailing a Messerschmitt Bf 109E kit in 1:72 scale. It replaces the simplified wing machine gun installation as carried by the E-1 and E-5 versions. The set is released by the Czech maker CMK and it is an aircraft accessory in resin. The particular number of parts and the exact contents of the package are stated on the packaging of the set. Make sure beforehand that the set matches the kit you own.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E was a single-engine fighter with a liquid-cooled engine that made up the main fighter type of the Luftwaffe at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. The individual subvariants differed above all in armament and equipment. The E-1 version carried machine guns in the wing, while the later E-3 and E-4 had cannons in their place, with a bulkier fairing and a different barrel section. The E-5 version was a reconnaissance variant derived from the E-3 that had no wing cannons. That is exactly why the set covers the pair E-1 and E-5: both subvariants have the same machine gun installation in the wing.
Wash the cast parts in warm water with detergent to rid them of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the surfaces up by wet sanding with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). In most cases the original plastic rendering of the weapon has to be sanded or cut off the wing and the openings drilled anew with a micro drill so that the part sits. Work slowly and try the fit dry several times. Paint the barrels and muzzles of the machine guns in a dark metal shade and knock them back slightly; glossy metal looks unnatural in this scale.
This is an accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
