Resin replacement barrels for the onboard armament of a model of the Soviet Mil Mi-24 Hind attack helicopter in 1:72 scale. It is not a helicopter model but a small detail part from the Quickboost brand. The cast barrels replace the coarser plastic parts with a sharper and more accurate item that sharpens the look of the armament.
The Mi-24, known under the NATO code name Hind, was a Soviet attack helicopter that combined heavy offensive armament with the ability to carry a squad of troops. It was used from the 1970s in many conflicts and remains in service in a number of countries. Its armament consisted of fixed and trainable weapons together with hardpoints for rockets and bombs. The gun barrels are a small but conspicuous detail that shapes the overall impression of the model.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue from the mold. Carefully separate them from the casting block with a sharp knife and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin. Sand with your airways protected, because resin dust is very fine. Before painting, key the surface lightly and apply a primer suitable for resin.
This is an accessory for sharpening a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
