Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masking templates by Eduard in 1:72 scale for models of the Soviet Mil Mi-8 Hip transport helicopter. The masks are precisely die-cut from yellow masking (kabuki) tape and make clean masking of the extensive cockpit glazing easier.
The Mi-8 has large glazing over the flight deck and side windows with many frames, and tracing them by hand is slow work. The pre-cut masks seat exactly on the individual panels, so a crisp border forms between the frame and the glass with no overrun. Paint does not creep under kabuki tape, and once the job is done it comes off without any adhesive residue.
Lift the masks with tweezers and lay them on dry, pressing the edges down thoroughly. The inside of the glazing can be painted in the interior color before masking. After spraying, remove the masks while the paint is still fresh.
The templates contain neither paint nor glue; this is an accessory to a separately sold plastic model.
