Eduard 1:72 MiG-15 airbrakes is a resin (BRASSIN) set of airbrakes for a model of the MiG-15 fighter. It is a detail accessory, not a standalone model of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Czech maker Eduard brings finely worked airbrakes for a model of the MiG-15 fighter in 1:72 scale. The set holds a pair of brakes with their actuating rods and usually photo-etched detail for the brake bays as well, so they can be shown in the extended position. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory that raises the fidelity of the kit.
The MiG-15 is a Soviet single-seat jet fighter of the late 1940s with a swept wing, used in the Korean War. The airbrakes on the sides of the fuselage were extended into the airflow in flight, and their open position is a rewarding detail of a build.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Paint the brake bays and darken them with shadow before closing them up. Shape the photo-etched parts with tweezers and attach them with super glue.
The accessory is meant for completing a plastic kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
