A color photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for detailing the exterior of the MiG-15 jet fighter and its more powerful MiG-15bis version in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a particular plastic kit. The set focuses on the exterior items that injection-molded plastic cannot render faithfully at a small scale.
It typically contains fine exterior details: covers and doors, grilles, stiffeners and small sheet items of the fuselage and the wings. Parts printed in color speed the work up and raise the realism of the surface.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard backing and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Shape the bends over the edge of a ruler. Fit the exterior photo-etched parts so that they line up with the panel lines of the plastic, and finish the painting only after they are in place, for a uniform surface.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
