This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The set is intended to refine the plastic kit of the MiG-19S supersonic fighter in 1:72 scale. It adds fine metal parts that injection-molded plastic cannot render faithfully.
The MiG-19 was the first Soviet production fighter aircraft able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The MiG-19S version was a day fighter armed with cannons, and the machine served in many armies of the Eastern bloc and beyond it.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, make the bends on a bender or along a ruler and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal surfaces and prime them with a base coat before painting.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
