A decal sheet in 1:72 scale with the newer finish of Polish MiG-29s, the first part of the series with the Heroes of Kosciuszko epithet.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-29 is a Soviet twin-engined fighter built in both a single-seat combat and a two-seat trainer version. The Polish Air Force has operated it for a long time and some of its machines carry striking commemorative finishes. The epithet Heroes of Kosciuszko refers to a tradition that invokes the name of Tadeusz Kosciuszko; this sheet is the first part of the series and is devoted to the newer finish.
The printing is prepared for models in 1:72 scale and is applied to a finished, sprayed and varnished model. How many machines and which schemes the first part covers, and whether the motifs are intended for the single-seat or the two-seat version, is given in the instructions issued with the sheet; use them to check how they sit on a particular kit as well.
Commemorative finishes tend to cover large areas, so smooth the surface carefully and go over it with a gloss varnish, otherwise a silvered haze will appear under the edges. Cut the motif out closely to the printing, soak it in lukewarm water and, once it has released from the backing, slide it onto the model. Blot the remaining water away with soft paper; at transitions and raised features a softener helps, and the motif is not moved afterward. Apply large motifs one at a time and always let them dry. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version: a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined.
The package holds a decal sheet. The kit, the paints, the varnishes and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
