Rob Taurus MiG-3 1:72 is a vacuum-formed clear canopy for models of the Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 fighter. It is not a model but a thin-walled replacement cockpit canopy with high transparency.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:72 scale for a model of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a standalone accessory. The thin walls and the perfectly clear material replace the thicker part from the box and improve both the view into the cockpit and the overall realism. The division of the parts usually makes it possible to display the cockpit open as well.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 was a Soviet fighter of the beginning of the Second World War, designed for combat at high altitude. It was notable for its slender fuselage with a V12 engine and a long nose. The glazed cockpit with its fixed frames is a prominent feature on a model, which a clear canopy sets off properly.
Cut the canopy out with a small margin, sand the edge down on fine abrasive paper until it seats exactly, and glue it on with clear glue for canopies or with a minimum of cyanoacrylate. Mask the frames before spraying and work with the thin material carefully, so that it does not deform.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit. Glue, paints and masks are not included in the package.
