Peewit — die-cut painting masks for the Mirage F.1B, 1:72 scale are a self-adhesive masking set for plastic models, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from Peewit for plastic models of the two-seat trainer version of the French Dassault Mirage F.1B fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a model or a kit but a painting accessory that is bought separately. The stencils are cut to the shape of the glazing of the longer two-seat cockpit and other areas of the model, so you can spray the frames with crisp edges without laboriously cutting out tape. The material follows the curvature of the canopy and leaves no adhesive on the part once removed.
The Mirage F.1B was the two-seat trainer and conversion version of the French Mirage F1 fighter. Compared with the single-seat combat variant it has a lengthened fuselage and a longer, two-seat cockpit canopy for an instructor and a pupil, while keeping the classic swept wing and the combat capability of the type. It served for converting pilots onto the Mirage F1 with the French Air Force as well as with other users of this widespread machine of the Cold War.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry. Lift the masks with tweezers, lay them into the frames and press the edges down with a toothpick against paint bleeding underneath. Spray the shade of the frame first, then the base coat and the camouflage, and remove the masks while the paint is still fresh.
This is a masking set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
