Plastic kit of the British twin-engined de Havilland Mosquito B Mk.IV / PR Mk.IV in 1:72 scale from Tamiya.
Responsibility details are not available.
A quality injection-molded plastic kit of the famous Wooden Wonder, the Mosquito, in 1:72 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya. The model lets you build the B Mk.IV bomber version as well as the PR Mk.IV reconnaissance variant. It stands out for its crisply engraved surface detail, a well-detailed cockpit, faithful engine nacelles and an accurately made landing gear.
The de Havilland Mosquito was one of the most versatile aircraft of the Second World War. Its largely wooden structure made it light, exceptionally fast and adaptable: it served as a bomber, a reconnaissance aircraft, a night fighter and an attack machine. The B Mk.IV version carried bombs, while the PR Mk.IV reconnaissance version flew over enemy territory and searched, among other things, for rocket launch sites.
Dry-fit the fuselage and nacelle joints first and glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. Lay down a primer, spray the camouflage with an airbrush and handle the transitions on the upper surfaces with a soft mask. Bring out the engraved panels with a dark wash, and mask the cockpit glazing before spraying. Apply a gloss coat before the decals so that they bed down perfectly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
