The Quickboost nose for the de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI in 1:72 scale. A resin detail accessory of the Aires brand for a more faithful forward fuselage.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. This is not an aircraft model but a replacement forward section of the fuselage, the nose, with which on the Mosquito FB Mk.VI version you replace the glazed nose with a solid unglazed one. The fine casting captures both the shape and the surface detail of the fighter-bomber version.
The de Havilland Mosquito was a British twin-engine combat aircraft of the Second World War with a largely wooden structure, powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. The FB Mk.VI version, the fighter-bomber, had a solid unglazed nose into which the gun armament was concentrated.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, carefully separate the casting block and bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Fill and sand the transition from the nose to the fuselage with respiratory protection. Check the fit against the fuselage before painting.
The accessory is supplied as a resin part. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
