P-61 Black Widow 1:72 — a set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks made of yellow kabuki paper for clean unmasking of the glazing and the wheels of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely cut set of self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model of the Northrop P-61 Black Widow night fighter in 1:72 scale. The masks, made of fine Japanese kabuki paper, hold well, follow curved surfaces and leave no adhesive when taken off. They cover the canopy glazing and the clear parts so that after spraying only the frames stay sharply outlined. The set usually includes wheel masks as well, for painting the tire and the hub separately.
The Northrop P-61 Black Widow was an American twin-boom night fighter of the Second World War and one of the first aircraft designed from the outset for night combat with an onboard radar. The large twin-engine machine, with its pair of tail booms and its glazed cockpit, carried heavy armament and a crew that operated the radar. It was deployed in the Pacific and in the European theater.
Take the mask off the sheet with a sharp blade or with tweezers, lay it on the part and press it down all round. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge. Remove the masks while the lacquer is still fresh. On a large glazed cockpit work patiently, one pane at a time.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
