1:72 PAK-FA T-50 Canopy And Wheels Paint Masks Limited Edition is a small set of stencils for the cockpit canopy framing and for separating the tires from the rims.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single sheet of small stencils deals with the two places that take the most time in a small scale when masking by hand: the framing of the cockpit canopy and the boundary between the rubber and the rim of a landing gear wheel. The shapes are cut according to the particular moldings, so measuring strips out falls away, and with it cutting with a scalpel directly on a part, where the clear material is easily scratched.
Do not look for a camouflage pattern here. The stencils cover the clear areas of the canopy so that they stay transparent after spraying, while the frames get the cockpit color on the inside and the shade of the exterior finish on the outside. The second part of the sheet is the discs for the wheels: the inner circle protects the rim, the ring leaves the rubber exposed. The result is a clean boundary that practically cannot be reproduced with a brush.
Pick the small stencils up with pointed tweezers and seat them on the glass one piece at a time. Press the edge down with a toothpick or a wooden stick, so that paint does not run under the film. On the cockpit it works well to spray the interior shade first, let it set and only then the exterior color. Take the stencil off while the finish is not yet fully hard; the edge then breaks away most cleanly and no piece of the coat is torn out.
The contents of the package are masking stencils only.
