This is not an aircraft model but an accessory that completely replaces the cockpit of the British Phantom FG.1 version. The resin parts bring markedly richer and more faithful detail than production plastic, and the photo-etch adds the instrument panels and the belts. Intended for plastic models of the Phantom FG.1 in this scale.
The McDonnell Douglas Phantom FG.1 was the British naval and air force version of the famous two-seat supersonic F-4 Phantom II fighter. In the service of the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force it carried out air superiority and interception tasks and was distinguished by modifications for operation from aircraft carriers.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways while sanding. Paint and fit both cockpits before the fuselage is closed; bring the instruments and the belts out with a wash and a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted as a resin set with photo-etch. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
