Piper L-4H Cub (Operation Overlord) 1:72 is an unassembled plastic kit of the legendary American liaison aircraft from the workshop of Mistercraft, with decal schemes including the landings in Normandy.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the light liaison and observation aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand Mistercraft. It is a simple kit with a basic level of detail; the decal sheet offers several color variants, among which a machine from the period of the Allied invasion of Normandy is not missing. The model will be appreciated rather by modelers who already have some experience of building.
The Piper L-4 was the military version of the well-known civil high-wing Piper J-3 Cub. During the Second World War it served as a liaison and artillery observation aircraft; over the Normandy bocage it helped to uncover hidden German tanks and anti-tank weapons and directed fire onto them. Thanks to its low speed and short takeoff it operated even from improvised field strips.
With simpler molds it pays to clean up the parting lines and to test the fit of the parts dry beforehand. Make the glued joints with a thin modeling cement for plastic, apply a primer before painting and cover with an airbrush or a brush. The thin struts and bracing of the wing are fragile, so be careful while handling the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
