1:72 Plastic barrels and crutches

What the set is for

Small accessories decide whether a diorama looks like an inhabited place or like an empty area with a model in the middle. In 1:72 scale they also serve as the yardstick for the whole scene: from a familiar object a viewer immediately judges the size of everything else. The set is an accessory for a diorama and aims at exactly that kind of filling out of a scene.

What the set contains

The name gives plastic barrels and crutches. The exact number of pieces, their dimensions and whether the parts are already separated or have to be released from a carrier are given by the manufacturer in the description of the set. The barrels suit a depot, a workshop and a building site, while the crutches belong rather in a civilian scene or at a dressing station.

Usage and painting tips

• Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest back.
• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let them dry off.
• Choose the suitable glue according to the plastic used; cyanoacrylate will serve universally.
• Set the barrels out irregularly and feel free to lay some of them on their side; a tidy row looks artificial.
• Concentrate dents and traces of rust at the lower edge and at the bands; that is where damage collects.
• Subdue the color on small parts, as saturated shades look toylike in a small scale.

Terms of supply

The set of accessories alone is supplied. A diorama base, figures, a model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
