This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish 100 mm Skoda wz.14/19 howitzer in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer First to Fight. The kit belongs to a range of quickly built models of artillery and military equipment and is suitable for completing dioramas and smaller scenes as well.
The wz.14/19 howitzer grew out of the proven 100 mm Skoda design and in the interwar period it formed one of the basic elements of the Polish artillery. It was deployed, among other occasions, during the fighting of 1939. It was a towed light howitzer used for fire support of the infantry.
It is a good idea to clean up the small parts of the gun carriage and the wheels and to glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. The model looks good after the base color has been sprayed on, the detail brought out with a wash and a discreet weathering of dust and mud added with pigments. The wheels and the lower parts can be dusted afterwards for a believable setting in the terrain.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
