Responsibility details are not available.
A resin armament set in 1:72 scale for models of American PT-type torpedo boats. According to the name it is two pieces of the Mk.50 rocket launcher. It is not a ship kit, but an accessory with which the deck of an already built model is fitted out. The set is the fourth in a series, and the manufacturer also offers other numbers of the same series with different armament, so take care which number you order.
PT torpedo boats were small, fast surface craft of the US Navy of the Second World War. Their armament changed and was added to continually during the war according to the tasks the boats performed; alongside torpedoes and machine gun turrets, rocket weapons and guns of smaller calibers also appeared on deck. The Mk.50 rocket launcher belongs precisely to the later additions that changed the look of the deck, so fitting it ties a model to a particular phase of service. Which particular boats carried it and when, check against the documentation for the craft you are building.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent before gluing, to rid them of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the surface with an abrasive; when sanding resin, protect your breathing and sand wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting. Paint the armament separately from the hull, while it can still be handled comfortably, and fit it to the deck only after the base coat and the weathering are finished. Before gluing, check on dry-laid parts that the arrangement on the deck matches your documentation.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
