Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the World at War range captures the early version of the German Panzerkampfwagen III medium tank, the Ausf. A form. It is a modern tooling with an easy build and fine detail. The special feature of the range is that the model comes together with a printed booklet, which brings the history and color profile illustrations of the vehicle. The kit suits collectors of German armored vehicles and beginning modelers in a small scale alike.
The Panzerkampfwagen III was designed as a main battle tank meant for fighting armored targets. The Ausf. A version was among the first pre-production machines of the late nineteen thirties; it still had an imperfect running gear with large road wheels and was built in small numbers only. These early forms served above all to gain experience, on which the more numerous and combat-proven later versions built.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you finish the hull. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement and separate the small pieces carefully. Lay down a primer; a uniform German gray is typical of the early forms, and the small scale will appreciate an airbrush. Bring out the panel lines and the wear with a wash, and the dust and mud on the running gear with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
