The Reggiane Re.2002 Ariete in 1:72 in the SPACE rendition is an accessory for the cockpit of the Italian fighter-bomber from Eduard's production.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small format and a cockpit that a pair of tweezers barely fits into are a combination modelers do not enjoy. The color three-dimensional decals of the SPACE range get around that problem: they bring the instrument panel and the surrounding details ready-made and in color. The package does not hold a model of the aircraft but the accessory that goes into one.
The Reggiane company was among the Italian makers that in the 1930s put their money on metal structures and a robust radial engine. The Ariete type followed on from the older machines of the same family, but with a different powerplant and with the emphasis on attacks against ground and naval targets. Its service began at a time when Italian aircraft production had its greatest trouble with materials, so not many examples were built. Some of the machines flew on after 1943, when the fortunes of the Italian units parted ways.
First try the seating dry, so that you know where the element goes. Give the surface a gloss coat, and do not immerse the element in water: moisten only the backing paper beneath it and lift it off with tweezers. Fix it with PVA glue, blot the excess moisture away and let everything dry out perfectly before you close the cockpit with the transparent canopy, otherwise a haze will appear underneath.
What exactly is inside does not follow from the name, so it is not stated here.
